Why Scouting?
At a time when families have less time than ever; you may be asking why scouting? As a year round program, it may seem like an overwhelming commitment at first. School, sports programs and other family commitments (not to mention our electronics) compete for our time daily.
Pack 628 firmly believes in the value of the scouting program and it's ability to help our sons and daughters grown and build valuable skills. Most of our children participate in scouting and sports; our pack is committed to providing an accommodating environment to allow our busy families to meet their wide range of commitments while participating in the scouting program.

In the Scouts BSA program, boys and girls learn through the experiences of camping, hiking, building projects, and community service. Scouting fosters self-esteem, a sense of value and belonging, a sense of accountability, and teamwork.

The program builds boys and girls mentally, physically and spiritually. The skills they learn in Scouting help them overcome obstacles and challenges with courage and character throughout their lives.
Give your child a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Boy Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he/she becomes tomorrow.
